Top priority to solve drinking water problem

Bijapur, May 6: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that his government has accorded top priority for solving drinking water problem faced in the rural areas.

Talking to newsmen at Almatti, near here, he said that directions have already been issued to the concerned officials in this regard.

Efforts have been made to find a permanent solution to tackle the problem in consultation with experts.

He said that Bijapur would get additional power supply of 15 MW to ease drinking water problem in rural areas. At present lack of power also coming in the way of supply of drinking water to the villages.
