TFA trounces SBT 2-0

Bangalore, May 6 (UNI) Fancied Tata Football Academy (TFA) trounced State Bank of Travancore 2-0 to register its third victory in the Final Round of the Second Division ONGC Cup 10th National Football League here today.

At half time the winners were leading 1-0.

Tata striker K Paite opened the account in 24th minute by scoring a solo goal overcoming defenders Abdul Basheer and Niyaz Rahman. The lead was increased just four minutes after lemon time when skipper Vimal Pariyar superbly netted the ball by heading a pass by mid fielder S Satish Kumar.

With this win Tata moved to second position in the points table with Nine points from four matches, while SBT remained at the bottom with one point from equal number of matches.
