Rs 323 Crore project for infrastructure development in Fire service
Mysore, May 6 (UNI) Karnataka Director General of Police (Fire and Emergency Services) R Sri Kumar today said that Rs 323 Crore project will be taken up soon for infrastructure development in Fire Stations in the State.
Speaking after receiving the guard of honour at the 47th Passing Out parade of District Fire Services Training School here, he said that under the project a Research and Rescue Emergencies Para Service would be set up and upgradation of communication and computerisation would be taken up.
Mr Kumar said that under the Accelerated Fire Emergencies programme Fire Stations would be set up in all Taluks in the State.
He said that recruitment would be made soon to fill nearly 44 per cent vacant posts and till then the Home Guards would be posted as Firemen.
