Proclamation notice issued against DSP

Patna, May 6 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna Ramniwash Prasad today issued proclamation notice against Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Nawada Shilchandra Kumar in a case of bribery.

The judge directed the accused to appear before the court within a month failing which attachment of property warrant would be issued.

According to the FIR, accused Mr Kumar detained a truck loaded with stonechips in Nawada and demanded Rs 20,000 as bribe to secure the release of the said truck from its operator on January 19, 2006.

The court had already rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the accused.
