Pondy CM emulates Karunanidhi

Pondicherry, May 6(UNI) After DMK president M Karunanidhi, it is now the turn of Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy to announce the Colour Television sets to the people, if voted to power.

Winding up the election campaign at Villianur constituency today Mr Rangasamy, canvassing for Theni C Jayakumar, promised TV sets to red colour ration card-holders in the Union Territory.

He also announced a dole of Rs 1000 per month to the educated unemployed youths in this territory.

Puducherry Munnetra Congress(PMC) President P Kannan, who undertook electioneering in several constituencies here promised jobs to all, gas-cylinder and Rs two lakh subsidy for Women Self Help Groups(SHG), among other things.
