One killed in road mishap

Kokrajhar, May 6 (UNI) One person was killed and four others injured in a road mishap yesterday while returning from a peace rally, police today said.

The accident occurred on National Highway 31 as the victims were returning after participating in a peace rally organized by the All Bodo Peace Forum.

The Bodo organization had called for the rally demanding beginning of actual negotiation with the militant group NDFB on demands raised by it.

The NDFB-Centre year-long cease fire is due to expire on May 31.
