Mahajan's ashes immersed in Godavari river
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 6 (UNI) The ashes of BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan, who succumbed to bullet injuries at the P D Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on May three, were today immersed in the Godavari river at Paithan, a piligrimage town in this district.
The urn containing ashes of the late BJP leader was brought here by party's city unit chief Bhagwat Karad from Mumbai early this morning.
It was kept at the local office for some time, where party workers as well as people from all walks of life offered their tributes to the departed leader.
Later, the ashes were taken to Paithan, where they were immersed in the holy river.
