Laboratories for testing drinking water quality underway: Singh
Noida, May 6 (UNI) Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh today said all districts of the country will get laboratories for testing drinking water quality.
Inaugurating a seminar on "Drinking Water", Mr Singh said 80 per cent population in the country was suffering from ill health because of non-availability of potable water. As part of the implementation programme, the township of Noida will be among the first to get laboratories for testing the quality of drinking water, he said.
The Minister reiterated the Government's commitment to introduce technologies based on low investments to ensure that quality drinking water is supplied to people across the country.
