J K Cement Ltd net profit up by 165 pc in Q4

New Delhi, May 6: J K Cement Ltd today announced an increase of 165 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ending March 31, 2006 at Rs 16.4 crore as against Rs 6.2 crore in the same period last year.

Company's gross turnover increased by 10.5 per cent at Rs 304.3 crore as compared to Rs 275.5 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Its profit before depreciation, interest and tax (PBDIT) increased by 60 per cent in Q4 at Rs 48.9 crore as against Rs 30.6 crore last year during the same period.

J K Cement's net profit stood at Rs 32.6 crore in the financial year 2005-06.

Besides, the Board of Directors have declared maiden dividend of 15 per cent.

J K Cement Ltd is the second largest producer of white cement in the country having manufacturing facility at Gotan with an annual installed capacity of 0.35 million tonnes.
