Gold crosses Rs 10,000-mark, silver shines

Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Prices of spot gold touched Rs 10,000-mark while silver shone on bullish global advice in the opening session, traders at the bullion market here today said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 21,000, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,970, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 10,020.
