Boy die in thunder strom

Kolhapur, May 6 (UNI) A 16-year-old-boy died when lightning struck on him at Varul village in Shahuwadi tehsil of this district.

The deceased - Subhash Govind Gavale accompanied his father to their farm, when he died due to gusty wind and thunder strom last evening, police said.

The deceased's father Govind received minor injury in the mishap.

Unseasonal showers accompanied with gusty winds was also experienced in some parts of the district, where uprooting of trees, electric polls and damages of a green house has been reported, police added.
