Phagwara, May 5 (UNI) The bodies of two labourers were recovered from a well at village Dhaleta in Phillaur sub division today.
Phillaur DSP Gursharandeep Singh Grewal said here that one of the deceased was identified as Raj Kishore of Bihar, while other could not be identified so for.
He said that police recovered one bottle of liquor and a sharp-edged weapon from near the well.
Police suspect that another Bihari labourer Vishesher Ram, attacked the deceased with sharp-edged weapons and threw the bodies in the well.
The accused managed to escape alongwith valuables of the deceased, they added.
The DSP said that the three labourers were residing in a room and one of the deceased and the killer were identified from the Election Voters Cards recovered from their rooms, while the second could not be identified.
Goraya police has registered case under section 302, 201 of IPC against Vishesher.
