Troops gun down one militant in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 5 (UNI) Troops today killed a militant in an encounter in the frontier district of Kupwara, a defence ministry spokesman said.

He said the encounter ensued after a search party of the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was attacked by militants at Laribal in Kupwara. One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
