Speeding truck rams into checkpost, kills two excise constables

Panaji, May 5 (UNI) Two excise constables on duty at Patradevi checkpost on Goa-Maharashtra border were killed when a speeding container truck rammed into it late last night.

Pernim police said the truck swerved and overturned at a distance after hitting the checkpost and the driver is absconding.

While one of the two cops died on way to Goa Medical College Hospital, the other succumbed to the injuries later, police added.
