SMC's public hearing programme evoke good response

Surat, May 5 (UNI) The series of public hearing programmes organised by Surat Municipal Corporation has evoked good response, SMC officials here today said.

The programme titled as 'Apna Zonena Dware'(at your doorstep) conducts public hearing at each and every zone in the corporation and adresses various issues raised by the citizens.

A senior SMC official told UNI that many of the complaints raised in the meetings were in connection with the corruption of officials in the corporation.

''The corporation Mayor himself had participated in many such meetings and had assured that the issue of corruption will be seriously addressed,'' the official added.
