Karkala recorded 6 cm rainfall in the State

Bangalore, May 05: Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over coastal karnataka and at a few places over interior karnaaka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Karkala 6, Lainganamakki 5, Mangalore, Puttur, Hirekerur, Sorab, Madikeri 4 each, Panambur, Hukkeri, Mundargi, Shikaripura, Bandipura, Davanagere 3 each, Bantwal, Mani, Sulya, Gerusoppa, Ranebennur, Bagewadi, Hosanagara, Talaguppa, Thyagarthi, Kudligi, Mysore 2 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 41.1 degree celsius over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Shimoga, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
