Guv, CM condole Naushad's death

Lucknow, May 5 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar and Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav have condoled the death of veteran music composer Naushad, who originally hailed from Lucknow.

In his message, Mr Rajeswar prayed for the peace of the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Mr Yadav observed his death had caused an irreparable loss to the Indian film industry.

''Naushad enriched the music world with his melodious tunes for over five decades,'' the Chief Minister added.
