Global Investors Summit in MP

Bhopal, May 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit will be organised here in January next year providing the state an opportunity to market itself at the global level, State Industry Minister Babulal Gaur announced today.

The event to be organised by FICCI and the state government would bring global investors and local companies closer to initiate a dialogue on tapping local potential at global level, Mr Gaur and FICCI Madhya Pradesh Chairman Rameshchandra Agrawal told journalists.

The Madhya Pradesh Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation would be the nodal agency on the government's behalf.

FICCI and the government would endeavour to set up a core group comprising Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mr Gaur and FICCI Secretary-General Amit Mitra.

FICCI would provide a format of domestic and international roadshows. A sum of Rs 3 crore was likely to be spent on all activities leading to and including the event.

The government expected that the summit would boost confidence among potential investors and build confidence among local industries in the present climate of open market economy.
