Bomb hoax at Kozhikode railway station
Kozhikode, May 5 (UNI) Bomb squad and sniffer dogs were pressed into service today at the Kozhikode railway station here following an anonymous letter threatening that bombs had been planted at ten important stations in the southern region.
However, after thorough combing operations it was found to be a hoax call, Railway Protection Force sources said.
The letter in Tamil and delivered at the Security office of the Southern Railways at Chennai, was intentionally written by a Tiruchirappalli based extremist organisation, the sources said.
Train movement, however, was not hit by the search operations, the sources added.
