3 boys drown in Gomti

Lucknow, May 5 (UNI) Three teenaged boys allegedly drowned in river Gomti in the Uttar Pradesh capital today.

Police said the incident occurred near the Cattle Colony in Thakurganj area.

The boys -- all residents of Balaganj locality -- had gone to bathe in the river due to the sweltering heatwave.

The victims were identified as Sunil (15), Lucky (17) and Sanju (14).

Bodies had been fished out and were being sent for autopsy.
