YSR's order on additional ayacut
Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy today directed Kadapa district officials to bring an additional 50,000 acre of new ayacut under Telugu Ganga Project this year.
Reviewing the developmental activities in the district and Pulivendula Assembly Constituency this morning at his camp office, Dr Reddy asked the officials to take up Pongamiya plantation on one lakh acre in the district from July/August this year.
Kadapa Collector Asok Kumar informed that almost one crore seedlings were getting ready in the nurseries in the district for the purpose.
Dr Reddy also instructed the officials to complete construction work on the presitigious Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and the new 750-bedded hospital by the end of May.
He also directed them to complete the construction work on around 4,000 houses in satellite township in Indira Nagar in Kadapa city by July 2006. The MA and UD Department will provide Rs 16 crore for setting up infrastructure like road and electricity.
