UAE to slash visitors visa, residence visa rates
Dubai, May 4: The United Arab Emirates is studying ways to slash visit visa and residence visa charges, an official source has said.
Under the directives of Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Naturalisation and Residency Directorate is restructuring fees to match the type and volume of services rendered to the applicants.
The Interior Ministry source said the proposed fee reduction is likely to be implemented soon.
The efforts are aimed to reduce charges and simplify the procedures to the convenience of the applicants.
The Ministry had deployed 18 police officers to provide services to applicants in the different naturalisation and residency departments across the country.
