Pacific tsunami warning over Tonga quake cancelled
SUVA, Fiji, May 3 (Reuters) A tsunami warning over an earthquake that hit the Tonga islands today was cancelled, the Pacific Tsunami Warning center, which issued the alert, said on its Web site.
The warning had said it was not known if a tsunami had been generated by the 8.1 quake but that any such wave would have hit Suva and Gisborne, New Zealand.
