Sehore, MP, May 4 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti, who recently constituted the Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ), faced disappointment as her expectation -- of several BJP leaders and workers joining her outfit from this district -- remained unfulfilled.
Legislator and ex-minister Karan Singh Verma, once considered a die-hard Uma loyalist, Sehore MLA Ramesh Saxena and several other bigwigs decided to steer clear of the BJ.
''Personally, I feel profound respect for Ms Bharti but politically I will repose lifelong faith in the BJP,'' said Mr Verma while Mr Saxena pointed out that he won on a BJP ticket and he reposed confidence in Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's leadership.
Former BJP district president Anokhilal Agrawal and some other leaders and their supporters apparently earlier spoke of throwing in their lot with Ms Bharti but were nowehere to be found when the firebrand sadhvi formed the BJ at the ancient temple town of Ujjain.
