K'taka: Draft Rules for CET bill to be ready

Bangalore, May 4: Karnataka Higher Education Minister D H Shankarmurthy today said the draft rules for the Common Entrance Test Bill would be ready tomorrow and the government would take a final decision on it after holding discussions.

Talking to reporters here, he said the officials would submit the draft rules to the government. The government would hold a meeting on May ten take up discussions in this regard, he added.

Stating that there was no change in the fee structure this year, Mr Shankaramurthy said the Governor had already given his approval for the Bill.

He said the government would start nine new degree colleges this academic year as promised in the Budget for 2006-07. The colleges with Arts, Science and Commerce faculties would have own buildings from the next year, he added.
