HC dismisses petition seeking pay scale revision

Allahabad, May 4 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by State Leprosy Medical Employees Association seeking direction to Uttar Pradesh government to pay the same pay scale as being paid to similarly placed central employees.

Dismissing the writ, Justice S Ambawani observed that health education in central and state governments worked under the same programme. But, their qualification, duties and responsibilities were different, he noted.

The judge said the court could not act as an expert nor study the commonalities of qualification, recruitment procedures, avenues of promotion, duties and responsibilities.
