Fake 100 rupee notes recovered from youth
Kolkata, May 04 (UNI) The Government Railway Police(GRP) today arrested a 22-year-old youth at the DumDum railway station for allegedly carrying fake 100 rupee notes.
According to GRP Sandip Paul, a trader of a border village in Coochbehar district, detrained at DumDum from a Sealdah bound local train along with one of his relatives and was caught as he was travelling without ticket.
When fined, he paid a Rs 100 note which later turned out to be fake.
Later following a search 82 more such notes were recovered from him.
Paul told the GRP that he got these notes from a Thimpu-based businessman.
