CM shocked over Mahajan's demise
Kohima, May 04 : Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock over the demise of Pramod Mahajan at Mumbai yesterday.
In a condolence message here today, Rio said people of India have lost a prominent political figure and a man of the masses. He said that the people of Nagaland also joined in mourning the death of Shri Mahajan and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to Ms Rekha Mahajan and other bereaved family members.
In a separate condolence message the lone Lok Sabha Member of Nagaland W. Wangyuh Konyak also expressed shock on hearing the news of demise of Mr Mahajan, which he termed as a great loss not only for the family and the BJP, but also the nation. His deeds will be remembered in the days to come. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
The Nagaland unit of BJP, in an emergency meeting held last night here, has expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of Mr Mahajan. State BJP President M C Konyak, General Secretaries O Mozamo Ngullie and Ato Yepthomi and BLP Deputy Leader and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr T M Lotha and all the legislators and office bearers of Nagaland BJP expressed grief over the death of Mahajan and prayed the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family members and also eternal peace of the departed soul.
