All party silent procession taken out in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 4 (UNI) An all party silent procession was today taken out in the city to mourn the demise of BJP senior leader Pramod Mahajan, who died yesterday at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

A large number of people gathered at the city's historic place Bavani Mandap from where they marched into the city's main streets and assembled at Bindu Chowk. A condolence meeting was also held there.

Kolhapur Mayor Sai Kharade, Deputy Mayor Arun Nigavekar, BJP senior leader Subhash Vora, Shiv Sena leader Rambha Chavan, NCP leader R K Pawar and other party sangathan leaders led the procession.
