Two nabbed in kidney sale racket
Jalandhar, May 3 (UNI) Two people were today arrested for illegal sale and purchase of kidney.
A police spokesman said the accused Rajiv Kumar, a middleman and a functionary of an Amritsar based gang, settled a deal with Raj Kumar for purchasing his kidney for a needy patient.
The transplantation was to take place at a local hospital here but the police nabbed Rajiv and the prospective donor Raj well in time.
The police was also looking into other connections of Rajiv, the spokesman added.
