SPG to hold digital media summit in S'pore
Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) SPG Media Plc UK is holding the V Digital Infrastructure Technology Summit-2007 (DIT 2007), a premier face-to-face business event for the global broadcast industry from February one to four next year at Shangri-La's Rasa Resort in Singapore.
A company release here today said the summit, to be held in coordination with SPG Media Pvt Ltd, will be supported by Asian Broadcasting Union (ABU).
Mr Chris Hayward, Managing Director, Vision in Business (ViB), the events arm of SP, and Dr Vijay Chintamaneni, Director, India Operations, said their market knowledge and expertise in the field of digital media, backed by an advisory panel, would ensure that the content and focus of the event was truly representative of the current state of the industry.
With over 50 million USD of contracts written at the last summit in Dubai, leading broadcasters, media houses, suppliers and service providers from the fields of television, media production, radio, telecommunications and internet were expected to participate in the event.
Mr Haywards also announced that SPG Media was organising the IV International Outsourcing Forum (IOF-2007) from February 15 to 18 next year at the same resort.
As the worldwide market for engineering outsourcing sector was currently pegged at 12.5 billion USD and expected to grow to around 40 billion USD by 2010, the event was introducing engineering services outsourcing for the first time to especially benefit the Indian suppliers and solution providers.
