Rupee opens stronger at 44.84/85 per USD
Mumbai, May 3: The rupee opened four paise stronger this morning at 44.84/85 per US dollar as compared to the last close of 44.88/89 per US dollar.
Rupee weakened to 44.8650/8750 in the mid-morning session while in the stock markets the Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (Sensex) was flat at 12,229 points with a gain of 10 points only.
The crude oil prices were up again today to USD 74.90 plus per barrel which will definetly put pressure on the rupee later during the day.
