Pravin Mahajan sent in judicial custody till May 17
Mumbai, May 3 : Rejecting the prosecution's plea, a city court today sent Pravin Mahajan, charged with an attempt on the life of his elder brother and BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan, in judicial custody till May 17.
The order was passed by Additional Metropolitan Magistrate R D Badge here and he directed the Aurthur road jail authorities to keep Pravin in a separate cell.
The 56-year-old BJP leader was grievously wounded on April 22 when the 45-year-old Pravin pumped three bullets point blank into his chest.
Mr Mahajan is battling for life ever since in Hinduja hospital here.
The police remand of Pravin, who was arrested on April 22 when he surrendered to police along with his firearms, expired today.
