Pramod Mahajan passes away at Hinduja Hospital

Mumbai, May 03: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary or known as 'Trouble-shooter' Pramod Mahajan demised this afternoon at 16:10 hours in Hinduja Hospital. He suffered multiple organ failure and respiratory disoder. His family was let into ICU for the first time today. He underwent 3 surgeries in the last two weeks.

BJP leaders and party members have gathered outside the hospital. Shiv Sena leader Thackeray had visited Mahajan today. The bigwigs of BJP are flying-in in the evening.

Hospital sources say, that his condition was precarious and his respiratory system failed. He had stopped reacting to any treatment from early today.

Pramod Mahajan was shot at point blank range by his brother Pravin Mahajan on April 22 at his residence. Pravin is accousted to judicial custody till May 17, 2006.
