MCX closes at Rs 3,593.24 crore

Mumbai, May 3 (UNI) Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded a turnover of Rs 3,593.24 crore at the close of trading hour today.

MCX has recorded a turnover of Rs 3,593.24 crore while the total trades registered were 47,600.

The combined MCX bullion registered a turnover of Rs 2,977 crore, including various MCX gold Rs 1,673.92 crore and MCX silver Rs 1,303.08 crore. The total trades recorded for the MCX bullion were 33,336. The open interest for gold was 9,725 kg, while the outstanding position for silver was 2,96,005 kg.

In the metals segment, MCX copper registered a turnover of Rs 83.09 crore with 1,745 trades, while in the energy segment, crude oil contracts showed a turnover of Rs 103.58 crore with open interest of 6,72,100 BBL.

Turnover of some of the major pulses traded on the MCX were as follows - urad registered a turnover of Rs 80.68 crore with 1,699 trades, chana registered a turnover of Rs 25.23 crore with 847 trades, tur recorded a turnover of Rs 11.59 crore with 186 trades while masur registered a turnover of Rs 15.15 crore with 470 trades.

Meanwhile, potato recorded a turnover of Rs 14.77 crore with 547 trades while mentha oil registered a turnover of Rs 39.61 crore with 1,978 trades.
