Hot day condition prevails in Jharkhand, MP and Marthwada

Pune, May 3 (UNI) Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh and of Marathwada.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and in some parts of south Madhya Maharshtra and above normal in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, south Tamil Nadu and in some parts of coastal Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, northeast Rajasthan, Saurashtra and of coastal and south interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, Chattisgarh, Telangana and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal Sikkim, Rayalseema and in remaining parts of Orissa.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at few places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa and Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, south Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Karnataka, Kerala and Andman and Nicobar.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Konkan, Goa, Telangana and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Rayalseema and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and south interior Karnataka and at few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.
