Hearing adjourned in Lalu's fodder scam case
Patna, May 3 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Muni Lal Paswan today adjourned the hearing on the discharge petition of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in a case of multi-crore Fodder scam.
During the day the CBI submitted documents before the court as per the earlier directions in the case. Appearing for Mr Prasad, his counsel P K Tiwari pleaded that some documents were not original.
The judge Mr Paswan fixed May 8 the next date for hearing in the case.
The case was related to fraudulent withdrawal of over Rs 46 lakhs from Bhagalpur and Banka treasuries. The case was registered in 1996.
Railway Minister Mr Prasad, former chief minister Dr Jagannath Mishra, several former ministers and IAS officers of Bihar are among the chargesheeted accused in the case.
