GE Money introduces new promotion scheme

Mumbai, May 3(UNI) GE Money one of the leading consumer finance companies globally and in India has introduced a unique promotion scheme on its personal loans.

The scheme from GE Money gives an opportunity to its customers to win one of several attractive prizes on taking a personal loan from GE Money. Lucky applicants stand to win one of several prizes such as having the entire loan amount waived off or pay zero per cent on the loan taken or have one EMI waived off or get a waiver on the processing fee, a release said.

The promotion scheme is called ''Loan lo vapas mat karo''. Little did Navin Trikamdas Thakkar resident of Mulund in Mumbai know that this is exactly what what he would do.

As Mr Thakkar wanted to renovate his house he approached GE Money for a loan. On filling the loan application , he was asked to scratch a card. Thinking it was a gimmick, Mr Thakkar did it for the sake of it.

He was not prepared for what was in store for him. He was told that the entire loan amount that he had applied for was waived off.

He now had Rs 35000 with him and he did not have to pay it back.

Mr Thakkar said with disbelief, ''We see such ads in the newspaper, and we think its not true. But this GE Money scheme is unbelievable.'' His mother feels it's a blessing in disguise. Now not only will their home have a new look , but they won't have to repay the loan as well.

A GE Money spokesperson said the reaction to the scheme had been overwhelming with the key driver being assured prize for every customer who avails the loan.

The scheme from GE Money runs till May 20 across 87 cities in India, the release said.
