ACC's cement despatch for April 2006 at 16.63 lakh tonnes

Mumbai, May 3 (UNI) Associated Cement Companies Ltd (ACC) has posted cement despatches running upto 16.63 lakh tonnes for the month of April 2006 as compared to 15.71 lakh tonnes for the same month last fiscal.

The company said the cement production for April 2006 stood at 16.55 lakh tonnes as compared to 15.34 lakh tonnes in the same month previous year.

Cumulatively, cement despatches for January - April 2006 stood at 65.91 lakh tonnes as compared to 60.20 lakh tonnes in January - April 2005. During this period cement production stood at 65.83 lakh tonnes against 59.80 lakh tonnes in January - April 2005.
