60 pc polling in Budhni: estimate
Bhopal, May 3 (UNI) An estimated 55-60 per cent turnout was recorded today in the key assembly byelection in Budhni where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was pitted in a 16-cornered contest.
''Polling was peaceful and no untoward incident was reported. As polling drew to a close, the turnout was estimated at 55-60 per cent,'' Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Patidar told reporters here.
The Election Commission is looking into Madhya Pradesh Congress General Secretary Manak Agrawal's complaints of bogus voting at ten booths, the CEO added.
