12 workers trapped in ash dyke breach
Korba, Chhattisgarh, May 3 (UNI) At least twelve labourers were feared trapped after an ash dyke of the National Thermal Power Corporation's thermal plant caved in at village Dhanras near here, this morning.
Rescue operations were going on in full swing as it was feared that a dozen labourers were trapped due to slurry which flowed downstream, washing away a small residential colony and a school building. There were no students because of summer vacation, police said.
State Agriculture Minister Nankiram Kanwar has reached the spot where the villagers and police are engaged in the rescue operations.
