Richard Boucher arrives tonight
New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) Richard Boucher, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, will arrive here late tonight on a whistle stop visit for talks on the India-US nuclear agreement and other issues.
Mr Boucher, who arrives from Nepal, will meet External Affairs Ministry officials during his half-day stay in the capital tomorrow, according to US Embassy sources.
The recent political developments in Nepal is also expected to figure in the talks between Mr Boucher and the External Affairs Ministry officials.
The nuclear deal signed between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush during his visit to India in early March needs to be confirmed by the US Congress.
