The Redevelopment of South Pipelines and Platforms Modification (RSPPM) project, executed by Iran's Engineering and Marine Facilities Co showed ''technological innovation,'' an Iranian official said.

Project manager Mehrdad Sabbaghi said his company had achieved a record three-kilometres of piping every day, compared to the 1.5 kilometre by other companies.

''This project holds the extraordinary record of five million and 300 thousand hours of man-days without any accidents, which in itself is an outstanding record, never gained in the region project executing history, Tehran Times quoted him as saying.

Dolphin Offshore Enterprises of India executed the RSPPM project as the subcontractor of the Iranian company, which got the work from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.
