Vadodara: BJP defends removal of encroachments
New Delhi, May 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today defended the removal of encroachments from the streets of Vadodara by the Gujarat Government and said it was part of the drive to clear all encroachments.
BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told newspersons that the municipal authorities had cleared 20 temples and three 'dargahs' in the drive afte prior notices to the people concerned but the problem had arisen while clearing one 'dargah'.
''The police will restore peace in the region,'' he said.
