PDP general council meeting in May second week

Srinagar, Apr 30 (UNI) The general council meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a ruling coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir, would be held here in the second week of May.

In a release here, a PDP spokesman said party president Mehbooba Mufti has nominated a committee headed by Rangil Singh to draft the agenda for the general council meeting.

The committee includes legislators Peer Mohammad Hussain, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Ghulam Hassan Khan, he added.

The spokesman said the committee would also suggest proposals for amendment in the PDP's constitution and organisational set-up.
