Official confirmation awaited from Afghan: MEA

New Delhi, Apr 30: Ministry of External Affairs today said it was awaiting an official confirmation from Afghanistan authorities on the body found, supposedly of kidnapped engineer K Suryanarayan.

''We are aware that the dead body of a person has been found in Afghanistan, between Qalat and Ghazni. A team has been sent to the location to verify the identity of the body,'' an official statement said.

''We must await an official confirmation from Afghanistan authorities,'' the statement added.
