Shopper's Stop net up by 74 pc at Rs 74 million
New Delhi, Apr 29: Shopper's Stop Ltd, leading department store chain, today announced a 74 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 74 million in the quarter ending March 31, 2006 as against Rs 42 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
Shopper's Stop Ltd reported a 36 per cent increase in retail turnover at Rs 1,761 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 1,297 million for the same period last year.
The net profit for the year increased by 42 per cent at Rs 271 million as compared to Rs 190 million in the same period last year.
The annual retail turnover rose by 34 per cent at Rs 6,775 million.
Earnings per share for the financial year stood at Rs 8.12 as against Rs 6.94 in the same period last year.
