Pramod Mahajan to undergo another minor surgery

Mumbai, Apr 29: Grievously injured senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, battling for his life since April 22, will undergo another minor surgery for replacing packs in his liver at Hinduja Hospital today.

The surgery will take place at 1100 hrs.

BJP spokesperson Vinod Tavde said, ''Mr Mahajan will undergo minor surgery to remove his blood packs.'' Earlier also, a similar procedure was performed for the same purpose, he added.

This will be the third surgery he will be undergoing. The first surgery was conducted on the morning of April 22 soon after he was shot at point-blank range, allegedly by his youngest brother Pravin.

The second surgery for removing the packs of the liver was carried out earlier on the evening of April 23.

Three bullets, still lodged in his body, had shattered his liver, head of pancreas and small intenstine.
