Konkan Railway store dept gets ISO certification

Mumbai, Apr 29: Konkan Railway has become the first ever in Indian Railways to get ISO certificate for its entire Materials Management department, including its depots at Ratnagiri and Madgaon.

Certificate ISO 9001:200 has been issued by the Quality Service, it had included Zurich AG-Switzerland, it's provision of cost effective material support to facilitate smooth train operations and project activities of Konkan Railway, Railway sources informed.

Konkan Railway's materials management department is fully computerised with online maintenance of inventory, purchase including tendering, indenting, placement of purchase order and stores billing.
