Deputy Commander-in-Chief shot

Guwahati, Apr 28 (UNI) Unidentified assailants shot and critically injured the Deputy commander-in-Chief of Dima Halao Daogha (DHD) near Haflong in NC hills district this evening.

In another incident near Kokrajhar in lower Assam police recovered two bombs and ammunition.

According to official sources, the first incident took place at around 1930 hours, near Haflong.

The Commander-in-Chief received three bullet injuries and was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College (GMC) hospital in very critical condition.

On the other hand, police found two bombs and some detonators along with a few rounds of ammunition near Kokrajhar this evening.

Both the incidents have created tension in the districts, specially in North Cachar Hills as the Dimasa and Karbi militants are at loggerheads for quite some time.
